The Lake County League of Libraries is a collaboration between all of the public libraries in Lake County, as well as the Lakeland Community College Library and the Lake Erie College Library. Our group was formed in 2016, when a group of library employees and library friends’ groups saw our communities express a desire for larger scale author events and programs.

The idea is simple. Together, we’re more than the sum of our individual parts. Dedicated staff members from our member libraries give their time and energy, our friends organizations pool financial resources, and we bring you bigger and better library programs! Our passion is providing new arts and education opportunities to our Lake County communities!

The League of Libraries hosts author series that will touch every community in Lake County.  Learn Together.

The BIG I.D.E.A. Book Club sponsored by The Diversity Center and Lake County League of Libraries will be hosting a virtual discussion of Freedom is a Constant Struggle by Angela Davis will be discussed on Tuesday, March 9th at 6:30 pm.  The renowned activist and scholar discusses state violence and oppression, including such issues as prison abolitionism and the South African antiapartheid movement.  Registration required.  To register, click here.
