Join us to learn about the SS Aquarama!  This old ship was once a World War II cargo ship converted to a passenger ship in 1954.  After conducting day cruises in 1955 and 1956, the Aquarama ran regular day cruises between Detroit and Cleveland from 1957 to 1962. Among many other amenities, the ship had a “carnival room,” a gift shop, games, a photo booth, two television theaters available to be used for conferences or special programs, two dance floors with a stage for an orchestra or other performances. People had the choice of four different types of restaurants that varied in style and price. Along with the restaurants, there was a main cafeteria that could handle up to 300 people.  Call the library at 440-944-6010 or click HERE to register.
