We love trees! Wickliffe Public Library is celebrating Earth Day this spring by participating in the Annual Neighborhood Forest Free Tree Program, whose aim is to provide free trees to kids every Earth Day. By doing so, we will beautify our neighborhoods, put a significant dent in our carbon footprint, and give every child the priceless joy of planting and watching trees grow. Since 2010, Neighborhood Forest has engaged over 2,000 institutions and planted over 197,000 (mostly urban and residential) trees through the hands of children and parents across North America.
Register by March 15th to receive a free tree for Earth Day to plant with your child: Register above or click HERE to register.
The tree species will be announced in early April. Neighborhood Forest aims to provide native trees in all regions they serve. Trees will be delivered to us and we will contact you to pick them up on or around Earth Week (April 22-30).
Thank you for your support and participation. For more information about this program, please visit www.neighborhoodforest.org or www.facebook.com/neighborhoodforest.
