During this month of thanks….. Wickliffe Public Library is thankful for our patrons and we are going fine free! Details are below.
Effective Date: November 1, 2025
The Wickliffe Public Library is committed to providing equitable access to information and resources for all community members. In alignment with this mission, we have eliminated overdue fines for most library materials.
No Late Fees: Items returned after their due date will not incur daily overdue fines.
Lost or Damaged Items: You are still responsible for returning items in good condition. Fees will still apply for:
– Items not returned 21 days after the due date (considered “lost”)
– Items that are returned damaged beyond normal wear and tear
Blocked Card: A library card with lost or damage fees totaling ten dollars ($10.00) or more is considered delinquent. In order to check out materials, fees must be below ten dollars.
Golden Buckeye Card Holders: are responsible for lost and damaged items.
How It Works
– Return your items as close to the due date as possible to keep them available for others.
– Reminders will be sent via your chosen notification method before and after the due date.
– If your item is not returned within 21days of the due date, it will be marked as lost and the replacement cost will be added to your account.
– Returning the item in good condition will automatically remove the replacement cost from your account.
